NEW COURSE ON MAKING FOUNDATIONAL, FUN, AND FUNCTIONAL VISITS IN PRESCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION AND INFANT-TODDLER EARLY INTERVENTION
This competencies-based course on Routines-Based Visits lasts for six virtual 2-hour sessions.
It works learners through specific steps to ensure the visits are (a) collaborative, (b) focused on functional outcomes/goals, and (c) consistent with the Routines-Based Model.
Each session consists of
- Lecture and discussion
- Reflection of the previous 2 weeks of implementation of the competencies
- Assignment of the next 2 weeks’ implementation
Learners who participate in all required components of at least 5 sessions will be eligible for ENDORSEMENT by the home of the Routines-Based Model, EIEIO (Evidence-based International Early Intervention Organization (formerly Office).
Endorsed participants will be listed as training resources.
Supplemental material: Modules and readings will be available for advance materials, before the course starts.
Who This Is For
Preschool itinerant personnel (i.e., visiting children’s classrooms)
Home visitors providing ongoing home-based services, including visitors to child care
INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS
Sessions will be live, to promote collaboration, but we will make accommodations for those whose time zones do not allow live participation.
Dates
Beginning February 2027—every 2 weeks.
