Studies will be proposed to determine the reliability and validity of tools to measure the implementation of practices and the efficacy of those practices.

Implementation
Studies will be proposed to determine the barriers and enhancers of implementation of the Routines-Based Model or other family-centered practices, based in natural environments, for achieving functional child outcomes or family outcomes.

Methods
In addition to psychometric studies, the EIEIO pursues research in group comparison statistical studies, correlational designs (including regression), single-case research designs, and qualitative studies.

Current Projects
3M Preschool Milestone Scale (3M) Internal Consistency and Factor Structure Study. The 3M measures child functioning and competence across 5 classroom common routines, and is completed by teachers. This study explores the underlying constructs and the internal consistency of the scores produced by the 3M.

A Cross-Cultural Comparison of Family Quality of Life. Data from American, Spanish, and Indian families are being analyzed, compared, and described.

Assessing the Impact of the Routines-Based Interview (RBI) Bootcamp. An impact assessment with group comparison will be carried out with Alabama's RBI Bootcamp. We will analyze the improvements on quality of service coordinator's needs assessment, IFSP development, professional typical and ideal practices, and self-efficacy as well as the families' confidence, perception of involvement on the IFSP process, and family quality of life.

Starting with Castilla la Mancha, 145 professionals from Spain implementing routines-based home visits will participate in a study to assess the relationship of quality of early intervention services with family and child outcomes. Expected number of families: 580.

Estudio del Engagement en el Contexto Educativo y su Influencia en el Desarrollo del Niño de Educación Infantil (4 a 6 años). We are currently conducting this study in Valencia, Spain. It looks at children’s engagement across classroom routines and its relationship to child-related variables (i.e. developmental level and emotional strengths/difficulties), as mediated by teachers’ teaching style and classroom quality.

The FINESSE-Coaching is a discrepancy tool used to determine early interventionists' typical and ideal practices with an emphasis on coaching (McWilliam & Resua, 2017). This study examines the home visiting practices of early interventionists in Alabama, highlighting any gaps between typical and ideal practices in home visiting and areas of need for future professional development.
